Tracing.co.nz is a free contact tracing web application built by The Media Suite Limited (that's us!) to help in the fight against COVID-19. Initially created for use on Environment Canterbury's public transport services to support its contact tracing efforts during Alert Level 4, it has successfully registered thousands of Cantabrians' contact tracing information.
While New Zealand was preparing to move into Alert Level 3, we realised the contact tracing requirements could become a challenge for many Kiwi businesses to comply with at a time when they already faced enough uncertainty and complexity. We also knew that many might struggle to meet the privacy and security expectations that users need to trust when providing their personal data.
We've designed tracing.co.nz to make contact tracing efficient, straightforward and accessible for everyone, whether they want to check-in with a smartphone a paper form, or need to check in other people in their care, while putting privacy and data protection at the heart of our solution.
