We've designed tracing.co.nz not only to be easy to use when checking in and out of a location, but also for businesses to get set up too!
To register, you can visit tracing.co.nz/get, and click on the 'Register now' button.
You can the enter details of the location of your business or premise to be registered, as well as your contact details in the form.
Once you've read and accepted the Terms of Use, you will be able to complete your registration.
Our team can now work through to review your registration, and will be in touch through email if we require any clarification of details. We thank you for your patience during this period while we're experiencing a high volume.
Once your registration has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email with the following printable material.
- A link to download your unique printable poster to use at your business location. It includes a QR code with simple instructions to guide your visitors on how to check-in via their smartphone.
- Note: some registrants have reported issues when accessing the link on Internet Explorer or Safari. If you encounter an issue, please try again using Chrome or Firefox if you are able to.

- A printable check-in template for those visitors who don’t have a smartphone or prefer to sign in manually.
We recommend the following best practices when implementing tracing.co.nz
- Print and display this QR code prominently at your entrances and exits.
- Print QR code on non-reflective surfaces
- Consider assigned a staff member with a dedicated tablet/device to help your visitors check in or out if they are unable to scan the QR code.
